MBE Ltd has experience of providing structural and civil design consultancy services to assist with many forms of framed structure. When we talk about “framed” structures, we are usually referring to projects that are multi-storey or have long clear spans and require a grid of columns and beams to carry the superstructure loads.   

Our typical engagements include the design of structural steel or reinforced concrete framed buildings, for extensions and new buildings. 

Occasionally we are engaged to look at alterations to existing framed buildings, where we provide comprehensive analysis and designs to assess the impact of proposed changes and provide engineered solutions to suit the needs of our clients.The practice has a long record of working in a number of different sectors including healthcare, retail, leisure, industrial, education and commercial offices.

Whether you require initial design advice, perhaps appraising and understanding the constraints of a building or a site, or you require advice with respect to the investigation of a site, we can assist from the earliest stages, helping to minimise client risk through a range of pre-purchase surveys and advisory services. 

Mostly we are engaged by our clients to provide detailed designs from planning stage to completion.  And, through our experience with these projects, we are able to work effectively to collaborate with the other team members in order to integrate the structure.

Furthermore, whatever the complexity of your project, we can be engaged either as your directly retained structural engineer or be novated to work on a design and build basis.  We can work either on a time charge or fixed fee basis to suit.
